AVATARS

Post by LilBuckaroo » Sun Dec 26, 2004 10:06 am

Hi folks,

This is a wierd question, and not on the subject of OSA. Where did ya'll get the AVATARS that you use on the site. And, how do you put them onto your profile.

Am particularly looking for a tiger or an eagle. Big Auburn Uiversity fan. In fact, father-in-law is a grad.

That said, "War Eagle" or "Go Tigers", which ever you prefer to say !!!

Have a Happy New year all !!!

Hi herky47,

If you google for "animated gif tiger" you will find a bunch. You then can save them to your computer. In your forum profile page there is a place to browse to the folder you saved it in and then add it. Keep in mind the gif file size needs to be rather small 6kb or less. There are sites (try gif compression search) that will compress your animated gif if you need to, but sometimes the results is unrecognizable.

Good Luck!

Will try it in a bit. BTW, where is Delavan, WI. Lived in WI twice. Once was in Portege (north of Madison), the other time was in Sheboygan (right on the lake north of Milwaukee). No offense, cut WI is too cold for my blood!!!

Herky,

Hope you find the one your looking for. Delavan is in central WI just north of the IL border. I have friends in both Portage and Sheboygan, ther both nice places. Your right WI can be too cold for just about anybody... I'm sure some our Canadian posters may chuckle at our characterization of WI as so cold.

Although I'm now in sunny (well, actually, very rainy at the moment) California, I grew up in Toronto and Halifax, and from what I've heard, WI can be much colder than either of those Canadian cities tend to get (on average anyway).

Ah yes... point taken. I haven't wintered in either Winnepeg or Ottawa - or the far north.

Hi Herky,

Check your "messages" box (at upper right of this page). I found some avatars, if you haven't already found one.
