My WaterPik W65's tube/hose cracked and leaked at the handle. I opened the handle, removed the piece on the handle, snipped the remaining end attached to the machine and reconnected it. Then it cracked again.
I decided to replace the hose with a better hose and in order to do that I opened the machine by prying it open; not an easy thing to do and the base can crack. Replacing the tubing is easy if you don't crack this piece of crap to shreds. The hard part is finding a better replacement hose. WP wants about $13 for a new handle and hose that attaches with a connector so you don't have to pull the machine apart but I would rather buy five feet of better hosing or tubing and reconnect it once. I get the feeling this happens a lot.
Any idea where to get the tubing, what size do I order and what material should the tubing be made of? This is an industrious group and I'd bet at least one of you have already done this.

Re: Waterpik tubing
I ordered a new hose from Waterpic...is the easy way...my original lasted about 3 years.

IF you do find a hose I don't think you will be able to attach it to the handle...that's why it is sold as a kit.
