It may be best to wait for the sleep study results before buying your next machine, in case you need a different kind of machine.

Yeah......since it's a sleep disorder specialist he would know best. I hope.
Now I know my cats want to kill me. They unplugged my CPAP machine.......true story.

beth1954 wrote:ok.........I looked around on the internet. The closest to what I have is the "Respironics Remstar M Series Basic CPAP w/Optional Heated Humidifier." The picture has push buttons on it though, but I can't enlarge it enough to see what the 3rd button is for...........

First, don't pick up the unit or move it without taking the humidifier chamber out.

Look on the blower unit. There should be a little panel just behind the buttons that flips up and has the display and a few more buttons under it.

(Yours may have fewer buttons, but this should help you find the panel.)

Here's the user guide for the unit.

I think the blower unit should say "REMstar M series" just in front of the buttons, but they may not all be labeled the same.

Flip the panel up, push the start button, and the display should show you your pressure. You don't need to mask up or anything. It will sound funny without the humidifier chamber, but nothing bad will happen.
