Gecko Nasal Pad reviews?

Post by napstress » Tue May 24, 2011 8:53 am

Has anyone tried the Gecko Nasal Pad yet? CPAP.com told me that it has replaced the Comfort Care Pad. I saw no reviews at any of the places selling it. It costs $24.95, so I wanted to find out how effective it might be before purchasing. The Comfort Care Pad had 3.5 stars, which is on the low side for a $25.00 product—unless they've improved it. Pad-a-cheek mask liner didn't work out for me: my problem is deep pressure marks from my mask (last night's lasted for 4 hours, even with bathing with warm water in the morning), not skin sensitivity. I had my straps as loose as possible without leaks, and slept at the edge of my $19.00 contour pillow from Walmart.

I'm a side sleeper, so this product won't help with the gouge marks in my cheeks where the clips attach to the mask, but I'm hoping it might help with the marks running down the sides of my nose.
Epworth Sleepiness Scale: 14
Diagnostic study: overall AHI: 0.2 events/hour; overall RDI: 45 events/hour
Titration study: AHI: 6.1; RDI: 27; CPAP pressures: 5-8cm

Not-tired behind my eyes and with a clear, cool head!

If you are not having success with the PAD A CHEEK Mask liner for your mask, please let me know. We stand behind our products and would be happy to work with you to achieve a better solution.
