Someone recommended me this website who is using a CPAP machine. I had my sleep study done two weeks ago and finally have received the results. I don't quite understand how to interpret them. I am a noob on this site but I always had daytime sleepiness.
The ESS score was 13

All of the things I read would indicate that I don't have traditional sleep apnea so that could mean that I have Narcolepsy. Which could indicate the day time sleepiness. What do you ladies and gentlemen think.
Help me understand my Polysomnography Report
Re: Help me understand my Polysomnography Report
if you're thinking that it's Narcolepsy, then you need to have a MSLT.
Re: Help me understand my Polysomnography Report
Yeah, I have it scheduled and was told to have some blood work done to see if its genetically related.
Re: Help me understand my Polysomnography Report
Your report is interesting. Thanks for posting it. I did not know that Narcolepsy can be genetic. Reading about it in this report I see that its prevalence is less than 0.05%.
I doubt it if you'll find another one here to share thoughts.
It's good to know that there are effective Rx to treat it.
Since all of your apnea events indices are 5 or less it means that you don't suffer from the typical Obstructive Sleep Apnea syndrome.

Re: Help me understand my Polysomnography Report
That looks like a negative on obstructive sleep apnea, but only your sleep doctor can say for sure.
