Cleaner for Swift?

Post by SleepyZ » Sun Mar 12, 2006 10:50 am

What do you guys recommend for cleaning nasal pillows on the Swift?

I was thinking of some kind of wipe that could be easily stored at bed side.

Any suggestions?

I know you will get all kinds of answers to your question> I use Neutrogena liquid soap---BUY wal mart brand Equate clarifying facial cleanser upc 7278507786. I use this on all of my masks. I clean the pillows about once a week.

I have been using CPAP Mask Wipes that I purchased on Ebay. I use these daily and then throw the pillows in Ivory soap on the weekends with the rest of my washables: chin strap, Nasal Aire pillow, etc. It seems to work for me.

I use baby wash. It has no soap or chemicals and it's fragrance free. I basically slide off the clip, peel off the pillows, and wash it in my hands. Seems to be working out fine.

I wash my mask, hose & HH daily in JOhnsons Baby Shampoo. Let dry.

Once a week I soak everything in VInigar & water for a 1/2 hour.

Works fine for me.

Every morning I put a drop of baby shampoo on my fingers, rub it into the pillows and rub the rest into the opening of the short tube. Flush with water.

Once a week everything but the headgear gets a full bath in a sinkful of baby shampoo and warm water.

Once a month it all gets the white vinegar soaking for at least half an hour. I dilute it maybe ten to one with water.

It's all holding together fine so far, but I've only been using the Swift for about three weeks. CPAP since the beginning of 2006.

All these replys are great. I have an ultrasonic cleaner I use for dive regulators so I drop my pillow in and in 5 minutes it is clean as a whistle. I use simple green as a cleaning agent.
