Has anyone ever used this latex pillow? It comes in different sizes, heights and firmness levels. Hubby uses the contour memory foam pillow but they flatten out after awhile and I'm always buying a new one. What's one more pillow to add to our collection! Thanks.

Re: Latex Pillow
I have not used that particular brand, but have used a very similar latex pillow (Australian) for the last 10+ years. I just wash it when needed and looks like new.
Key thing to get right is a height that you are comfortable with as they don't squish as much as comfort foam or feathers. If you get the wrong height you will hate it.
You could probably take a gamble on the size and softness issues but I think it might be a bit too tricky to get the height right on-line.

Re: Latex Pillow
Hi Dori,
My DH is an affirmed latex pillow sleeper. He likes them because they don't mush down ever. He prefers a medium density pillow. (And he is not a CPAPer.)
I think they're difficult to wash and get dry to prevent mold, so I keep a washable pillow cover on under the pillow case. I replace the pillow itself every three years.
I like my soft density feather pillow from LL Bean because it does mush and smush and I can contour it around my mask as I'm a side sleeper. HTH.

Re: Latex Pillow
I agree with Gerald, height is very important with these pillows, loved mine until cpap entered my life, now I need a less high pillow and need it to be cool. Latex is very nice and cool, memory foam no way they are too hot. I'm a restless side and tummy sleeper so the Kohls, cool liquid core is just the right height, and remains cool for me. Good Luck the sleeping pillow makes a for a successful cpap night!

Re: Latex Pillow
Dori,
If you do get one please reply back and let us know what your hubby thinks about it. From what I have read they stay cool unlike the memory foam that gets way to hot. I tried one and it was to hot and collapsed down to much.
The one in the link looks like it might be the ticket. I might just go ahead and get one.

Re: Latex Pillow
Thanks for all the comments, very useful. I notice that none of you are using a full face mask so the right pillow is more of a problem for a side sleeper. Also, my husband doesn't do much adjusting when he's having leaks.
Ticman, since you're not afraid to be my guinea pig, I'll wait for your review!

Re: Latex Pillow
My hubby used to have this dreadful foam pillow that reeked to high heaven.
I hated it, but he loved it. It finally aged to the point of getting crumbly,
and I am so relieved to be tossing the wretched thing.
I bought him a nice fluffy one from Bed, Bath and Beyond.

Re: Latex Pillow
Dori,
Don't waste your money on the latex pillows. I got the high loft firm and my head sinks down like the Titanic. I really don't understand all the great reviews these things have. It's not a hot as the memory foam but it's still pretty hot. I even stuck a another pillow under it and it still doesn't work for some one with a hose. I'll be sending it back tomorrow.

Re: Latex Pillow
I'm so sorry it didn't work but thank you for going to the trouble and then warning me. I've been through that so many times and in some cases they weren't returnable. If I have any more bright ideas I'll let you know!

Re: Latex Pillow
I would be concerned that you could develop a LATEX ALLERGY with that kind of constant exposure (sleeping every night). Medical and dental professionals can develop latex allergies just by putting on latex gloves all day. Why would anyone want a Latex anything?

Re: Latex Pillow
Well, if you have severe fibromyalgia, or spinal disease like I do, and your nerve endings are so sensitive that a breeze hurts to the max, you need to lay on something that has a density and flexibility so you have ZERO pressure point pain then latex is one of two materials you can use. The other is the foam that NASA uses to cushion the inside of spacecrafts so our astronauts remain in optium saftey conditions. I have a latex allergy, and latex mattresses and pillows are made with an additive that prevents allergic reactions. Gloves are not.
