Has anyone tried the Innomed Hybrid Face Mask?
Has anyone tried the Innomed Hybrid Face Mask?
I am considering buying the Hybrid Innomed face mask.I would like to try this one because I use nasal prongs , but sometimes I open my mouth during my sleep. This mask has both nasal prongs and covers the mouth. Would appreciate any feedback, thanks.

Re: Has anyone tried the Innomed Hybrid Face Mask?
I have been using it for almost 2 years. Do a search on it and there are lots of threads on making it work. There are 3 adjustments and for me the most critical one was the one on top of the head. I also use an extra strap (lingerie elastic) across the pillows because my nose tilts up and the pillows pop out at the slightest twitch. If I don't use the extra strap I have to make the other straps to tight for comfort.texmels wrote:I am considering buying the Hybrid Innomed face mask.I would like to try this one because I use nasal prongs , but sometimes I open my mouth during my sleep. It is a bitch to get fitting because of all the options but once it works it is great.
It comes with 3 sizes of mouth coverings and 3 of nose pillows. People on the forum do exchanges with the sizes they don't need.

BlackSpinner, you're probably in a good position to respond to this current exchange re if the Hybrid would tend to pull the chin up more than push it in (the original concern of a poster was FFM pushing the chin in, and possibly contributing to closing the airway more.BlackSpinner wrote:I have been using it for almost 2 years. I have also used the Innomed Hybrid. It took some time to get the proper adjustments for a leak-free night but it can be done. It just takes some patience and persistence.
Good luck!

It is not attached. It is like a hair band, I just pull it over my head. It doesn't need much tension to keep the pillows in place.texmels wrote:thanks for your responses, i hope it will work for me.

I like that it cups my chin. It doesn't pull my jaw back at all because the small mouth piece fits exactly around my mouth and the chin piece keeps it in place without tightening the straps excessively. What I like about this mask is that it curves easily around my face.

But the picture they have up is not of the hybrid

Re: Has anyone tried the Innomed Hybrid Face Mask?
I have also been using it for awhile, I like it so much, I now have 3 of them and just rotate the mouth piece and pillows once a week. Like Blackspinner says, its a pita to get well adjusted, but once its there it is perfect. I also use a strap around the pillows just as she does. I can put two fingers between the side straps and my face plus I use fleece strap covers on it. Make sure you read Rosters thread and pics on taming the hybrid...great info.
