I like the Resmed Quattro Full face mask. IMO it works the best on most people. As the other post mentioned what works on one may not work for another but the Resmed Quattro seems to work well on most where others have failed.
About the hybrid mask I find most people have a hard time adjusting and usually resort to them when a regular full face mask has not worked.
The resmed quattro fx seems to leak when pressures are over 12 cwp.
If I was in your shoes I would order the Resmed quattro and order the mask guarantee so you can return if necessary.
Snoring while using CPAP machine??
Re: Snoring while using CPAP machine??
Thanks @teachcsg!
I looked at the Resmed Quattro Full face mask. It does look like a good one, but my pressure is 15.0. So I'm concerned it won't work if you say it is known to leak over 12.
@pugsy - I like the idea of the hybrid mask. The reviews seem good too. The insurance is strange because it costs $50+ just for the right to return it if it doesn't work...that seems like a ripoff to me. I would hate to not be able to return it, but that just does not seem like a good deal.
Anyone else have any further thoughts for me?
I appreciate the help.
Brad

Re: Snoring while using CPAP machine??
I think you will find that the return insurance for most of the full face masks is rather high.
Full face masks have a higher rate of return...thus it drives up the cost of insurance.
Full face masks just generally are more difficult for any number of reasons.
The mask I use has a rather low insurance cost...means it doesn't get returned that often.
If you search the internet there are some online sellers who will let you keep swapping masks within their inventory if a mask doesn't work out. I don't remember the names right off hand.
Might check your local craigslist too. Sometimes new sealed in package..masks are offered. I wouldn't buy used from craigslist though. Must be sealed in package because if used you don't know how long it was used and some parts of the mask have to be replaced after a period of use.
I saw someone offer new masks on my local craigslist not long ago but they haven't responded to my email so I guess they sold out.
They were supposedly sealed new in package and cheap enough I was just going to buy several and pass the savings along to members here.
It was a local seller...so in person examination of the masks..the only way I would ever do masks on craigslist.
If I spot a Hybrid...will let you know.
In the meantime why not try a chin strap to help remind you to keep your mouth shut? Nasal pillows plus chin strap might work well enough. You never know till you try.

Re: Snoring while using CPAP machine??
The names can get confusing. The Mirage Quattro is a full face mask with forehead adjustment.I looked at the Resmed Quattro Full face mask. It does look like a good one, but my pressure is 15.0. So I'm concerned it won't work if you say it is known to leak over 12.
The Quattro FX is a full face mask without the forehead piece. It is more comfortable, but tends to leak at higher pressures. I use it with a setting of 11-17. My 95% is 13.9, and I do go up to 15 on occasion and rarely up to 17. It does wake me at higher pressures due to leak, though the leak isn't high enough to be considered high. Just annoying.
