My old CPAP machine (Breas) died a few weeks ago and i got a new one: Phillips Respironics Remstar System One.
All in all a nice machine but i have a question to the users of Philips Respironics machines:
I use the white "ultra-fine", disposable, filters and i am wondering if i'm placing it in the correct orientation. In the manual it says:
"If you are using the white disposable ultra-fine filter, insert it into the filter area first, mesh-side facing in, towards the device"
The filters that came with the machine does not have a "mesh-side". They have a soft, sort of perforated, side with "Philips Respironics" logos printed on and a slightly more hard/dense side with no print on
(see the filters here: http://www.thecpapshop.com/respironics- ... -sleepeasy)
Intuitively I have inserted the filters with the harder side facing inwards - but could anyone in here please confirm that this is the correct orientation?
Thanks
Dan
Orientation of ultra-fine filter on PR Remstar System One
Re: Orientation of ultra-fine filter on PR Remstar System One
Yes, that hard side is a plastic mesh and it faces in. It gives the filter some structure to keep it from getting sucked into the mach.
