light blue spots on pillow
light blue spots on pillow
I am finding light blue spots on my pillow case in the mornings after using my cpap. My wife has ask that I stop leaving the blue spots on the cases. I am at a true loss as to the cause. None of the parts on my cpap are blue, nor are my mouthwash or toothpaste! Please respond if any of you cpap users have experienced this issue! Thanks in advance for any help!

Blue blood? Seriously, what color is your head gear and what color is the pillow case?

Re: light blue spots on pillow
Or stop in your local discount store and get some pillow cases that suit you for your pillow. These can be washed and used without concerns about stains and the pretty pillow cases that match your sheets will never be soiled by whatever is causing the blue color.

This was discussed before. No resolution of cause, but more discussion. Mostly just to let you know you're not the only one who has experienced this.

Re: light blue spots on pillow
Reading these responses made me smile... the blue / purple stains are the colour dye leaching out of the head band when the wearer sweats... I've had my machine for 9 months now... and I have this problem on a regular basis. When I travel with work and the hotel AC is good - no stains... However at home I often leave a purple / blue water mark on the pillow. I was my band regularly - but I'm now tempted to boil or bleach mine and see what happens... I'm also worried that because Im sweating at night the mask may not be working as well - off to the sleep clinic next week for some advise. Keep you posted. J

You must be a "Blue Blood", and you have sprung a leak! JimAnil Gupta wrote:Hi,

If you do a search "remove dye transfer stains from clothing" you should get good instructions to remove the stain. There's more than one type of bleach so be sure to use the type recommended.
Almost anything can be removed with the correct cleaners and patience.

The OP is not asking how to remove the stain...He's wondering what is causing the stain. This is an old post that someone brought back, but the question remains.Cpapian wrote:If you do a search "remove dye transfer stains from clothing" you should get good instructions to remove the stain. Every time I buy something white, I check the fabric content label.
Then before or WHEN the inevitable stain appears, I DYE the damn thing!
Life is too short to inhale bleach fumes for vanity only.

Re: light blue spots on pillow
Wow.
A little over a week ago, I woke up and the corner of my eye felt irritated. I went to the mirror and looking for some morning crust there. What I found was a ink like substance that was blue. For the life of me I know I didn't play with ink pens. And if I did how did I get it so neatly in the corner of my eye? I finally just shrugged it off as I had no answer. Then I read this post.
What could this possibly be?
Yeah it looked exactly like blue ink.

Couldn't find a second post from GreyEagle1, 2014's post.
Maybe he had dyed his head feathers Blue, he would know better than I. Maybe just a drive by brought up by a fan of the wayback machine. I'd take the pillowcase in and buy a set in the same color and hope it made the wife happy, odd's are it won't, blue isn't her favorite color.
Don't eat Blueberries in bed, eat Strawberries, or better still Passion Fruit! No Watermelon, it leaves a sticky wet spot.
In reality the only cure for Blue Blood's is the Poor House. Jim
