Best Masks for Asian Faces

Post by hlee » Tue May 20, 2014 12:47 pm

Can I get recommendations for masks for Asian faces? I tried some full face and nasal masks and there would be leakage near the nose, or I would have to tighten the straps so tight it would push my lower jaw open.

I'm not sure there is such a thing
I now use a nasal pillow but when I first started years ago, used a nasal mask, SoftGel, here's the link: https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed ... -mask.html

Also, have you tried nasal pillows -- I use the Aeiomed but has long been discontinued and not available anymore.. However, the Swift LT, Fx or the newer AirFit are several ResMeds that I've had some success....

Some nasal masks ride lower on the nose, avoiding a low nose bridge.
Wisp is one that only cups the end of the nose.
Nasal pillows are very minimal as well and do not require a full size sniffer.
I have also enjoyed a good fit with the Sleepweaver Élan cloth mask.

Have you tried mask liners? I had leaking at the nose bridge (and everywhere else) with my full-face mask, but liners stopped most of them.

Now using AirFit F10 mask; Quattro Air is backup mask. RemZzzz mask liners with both.

I have a fairly flat bridge and find the mask I use (see below) is pretty good (had the same model for years), especially as there is a small forehead piece between the horizontal forehead bar and the actual mask frame that allows you to adjust the tilt angle of the mask, plus I wear a size small shallow, which is unusual to find in any mask... you might want to try it.

It's funny most of the masks for americans are made by Asians, but since we no longer have Americans making products, it might be hard to find a mask for Asians made in America. Thank you Global Economy, and the sellout Corporations. Jim

Sorry for reviving an old thread, just want to get any updated recommendations. I note Sleepweaver have been recommended. Just wondering if there's something else I should also try.
