My leg is swelling up again. It is red and puffy. I have the filter still in place. Is this reason for alarm or just normal swelling for my first day out of bed?

Call your doctor, Stormy. Was hoping to read you were resting comfortably. Maybe the doc will say it's expected but I'd put that ball in his court.

I agree with Kathy -- if the doc didn't tell you to expect this, then you need to call and ask about it.

Stormy

As previously said, check with medical personnel about your swelling. It could be something or just fatigue. They know better what to look for!

My vet has great advice to dogs (and people)

Go to Bed!

Lay Down

Stay

Heal!

Hope you feel better soon!

-Bill

Stormy - any time you have a concern, please just call your doctor (or go to the ER) right away... don't wait for our opinions! You've had a very serious event and must stay on top of it from there, as soon as possible when something comes up. This may be nothing, but that's what you thought at the beginning of this story. I hope everything's ok and it's just a glitch, but please get seen to now. Consider that medication may be 'blunting' your reactions to things too, and that you need to act if necessary and not wonder about whether you should or shouldn't.

Stormy, I agree with the advice to seek help immediately. As you found out at the beginning, you can't mess around with this.

The last posts on this thread are now several hours old.

I certainly hope that Stormy took Kteague's and others' excellent advice to call the doc AT ONCE.

I hope that there's nothing seriously wrong.

Hoping and praying for a good update from Stormy soon

I'm worried. I think they sent her home WAY too soon!

+1 for this thinking. Coming out of ICU yesterday, then home today sounds very quick. It would be real nice if someone in Oklahoma who knows Stormy could check in on her, and help her make sure she is getting the care she needs. That is the big downside of the forum like this: impossible to provide the personal help that I'm sure many people would like to provide.

What? Stormy you aren't sitting in front of your computer 24/7 making sure we're not worrying about you?

I suspected as much. Hey gang, let Stormy rest up.

It is so good to hear from you Stormynights. I am glad you are home where you can recover from your ordeal. If you are like me, my own bed is my favorite place to sleep. Continue to relax and let your body heal. We are praying for you here.

Take care of yourself.
Hugs,

Karen

Karen:

By the way, when I went in to get my new QA last week, the gal at the equipment office looked at my old QFX and remarked, "Oh, you've got some Pad-A-Cheek" modifications?". I nodded my head and she replied, "So many people come in here and just swear by their products".

I agree!
