Re: Where to Put Your CPAP

No one even comes in my bedroom that is not my family, and they already know I use a CPAP.

We live in the sticks, so we rarely entertain and even then even rarely to do the Whole House Tour.

In a fantasy world where I invite a new female companion to the bedroom I'd just tell her that it is a breathing machine in case I cause her to lose consciousness, so conspicuous placement is a benefit.

I keep my CPAP in my nightstand drawer; not because I care about it being left out, but because the top of my nightstand is already quite full of stuff. My batteries are also kept in my nightstand -- it is very heavy.

Mine sits on my nightstand, also, although for a while I did have it on the floor. I've never thought of myself as a "sick old person", either! Considering I was 37 when I was diagnosed anyway..... hmmm...wonder where my fleece hose cover is.....

Geez, give this gal a break! I read her post with interest. It would never have occurred to me to look for furniture for my machine. But it obviously was important to her and she was just passing on what she found. Do you think she will want to post anything again after such mean-spirited responses?

No one really believes the post is sincere. There is a certain artfulness to it that echoes every piece of forum or newsgroup spam I've ever seen. A forced tone of casualness, but nevertheless carefully hitting each product feature. No one's first and only post on a forum dealing with health problems is about furniture.

That CPAP nightstand goes for $449? Another "Best Seller" on that site is an adjustable arm for an LCD monitor for $755?

I guess there is a sucker born every minute.
